| Lunch on Marco Island at the Pier |
Marco Island is the first island of the 10,000 Islands in southwest Florida. After shopping at a Wednesday Farmers Market, we drove around Marco Island to check it out.
We saw beautiful large Bird-Cage houses where glass aviary-like envelopes surround the lanai and in some cases almost the entire home.

| Public Beach |
We found our way to one of the public beaches, South Marco Beach. Parking is a block away for $8 and access to the beach is between two large hotels. This white sand beach is not as busy as Tigertail Beach a few miles north of here. We spent about an hour walking the beach, shelling along the way.
