Bad news!!!! With all the rain and mountain snow melt a bridge on our route to Dawson Creek washed out. Our tour was rerouted and we had to backtrack almost 300 miles from yesterday. Everyone was disappointed but there was nothing we could do. Someone said the route we travelled two days in a row is considered the Serengeti of Canada. At least we saw some mountain sheep.
After at least five hours of driving, we arrived in Hinton, east of Jasper. We had a 6:30 p.m. briefing on the new route to Dawson Creek and a campfire with s'mores.
